How to Apply

You can also apply for a new or replacement copyright in person at an office of customer service. You will need to bring your valid copyright along with a copyright-style color photograph, and additional documents. You must surrender any out-of-state driver's licenses, permits, or ID cards before applying for an entirely new New York driver's license.

If you already hold an auto licence in the category B and you are a Category B driver, you could be able to get C and C1+E automatically added to your licence when you pass the driving test for cars in those categories. In the same way, you might be eligible to get categories C and C1+E added to your licence if you pass a test for a full-size bus (category C) or full-size truck with trailer (category C1E).

Requirements

This includes having a valid beginner's permit, taking a written knowledge test and passing a road skills test. You will also need to prove your identity and residency in the US.
